Baloot projects explained: Sira, 50, 100, 400 and Baloot
3 November 2026 · Jakoz Gaming
Projects (in Arabic mashari) are bonus combinations in your starting 8 cards. They can turn a close hand into a clear win.
The projects
| Project | What you need | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Sira | 3 cards in a row in one suit (e.g. 9-10-J of hearts) | 20 |
| Fifty | 4 cards in a row in one suit | 50 |
| Hundred | 5 cards in a row, or four 10s, Js, Qs or Ks (four aces in Hokm) | 100 |
| Four Hundred | Four aces in a Sun hand | 40 game points |
| Baloot | K and Q of trumps in Hokm | 2 game points |
For runs, the natural order counts: 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A.
Who scores them?
Projects are shown after the first trick. Only the team holding the single best project scores, and then it scores all of its projects. A bigger project beats a smaller one; for equal projects the longer or higher run wins.
How they count
Project values are added to the team's card points to decide whether the buyers made it, then turned into game points the same way as cards: divided by 5 in Sun, by 10 in Hokm. If the buyers lose the hand, the other team takes every project on the table.
Baloot is special
The Baloot (K and Q of trumps) is always 2 game points for the team that holds it, even if that team loses the hand.
On Jakoz, projects are found and shown automatically after the first trick, so you never miss one. Try a Baloot hand now or read the full rules.
