Jakaro arrives, a better Majlis and smarter notifications
- New game: Jakaro (جاكارو). The Gulf’s favourite marbles-and-cards race is here. Play 2 vs 2 with a partner, with friends and voice chat, or practise against the computer. How to play Jakaro.
- Speaker button in the Majlis. Next to your mic there is now a speaker button: switch everyone’s sound off and on with one tap.
- Your new look shows instantly. Change your picture, frame or banner and everyone in the Majlis sees it straight away, and banners now appear behind each person around the carpet.
- A cleaner Majlis. Seats sit evenly around the carpet, extra buttons and text are gone, and the “back to the Majlis” bar no longer covers buttons on other pages.
- New-look notifications. Clearer messages with the sender’s name and photo, and tapping one now takes you to the right place: a friend request opens your friends list ready to accept, an invite opens the table.
- Smoother voice. Volume is evened out so a loud voice no longer jumps out, and calls reconnect faster after a signal drop.
- Keep talking while you switch apps. On the Android app, leaving Jakoz shrinks it to a small window so the call and the game keep going.
- Play for coins. Pick a bet before each online game, from 1 to 2,000 coins; the winners share the pot. A free reward is waiting every 6 hours, with a bigger one for your daily streak.
- Ludo pairs are safe. Two of your tokens on the same square now make a pair that can’t be knocked out. Hosts can switch this off in the room’s house rules.
- Fairer Ludo luck. Stuck at home waiting for a 6? After a few misses your chance of a 6 goes up, the same for everyone.
- 3D dice that really roll, and a gift sheet that opens instantly.

Baloot, Checkers, Arabic and profile banners
- New game: Baloot (بلوت). Sun, Hokm and Ashkal, projects, Baloot and Kaboot, first team to 152. Baloot rules.
- New game: Checkers (Dama). Play a random opponent, a friend with a code and voice chat, or the computer at three levels. Checkers guide.
- Jakoz in Arabic. The whole app and website now speak Arabic, right to left, with Gulf-style wording. Arabic phones switch automatically.
- Profile banners. Ten banners for your profile, five of them animated, like Shooting Stars, Lava Lamp and Aurora Sky.
- 50 characters to choose from, a new chat design, and your player name is now yours alone: no two players share a name.
- Save your player with Google and bring it to any phone, with a 10,000-coin welcome bonus the first time.
- A new name and home: we are now Jakoz, at jakozgaming.com.

Speed ♠, the Majlis and lots of ways to play together
- New game: Speed ♠. The Gulf way of playing Spades, 2 vs 2, bid your tricks and race to 31 or 51. Speed ♠ rules.
- The Majlis. Voice rooms for up to 8 friends, no game needed, with loudspeaker and headset support.
- House rules and computer levels. The host chooses the rules, and computer players come in easy, medium and hard.
- Undo in friendly games, emotes and victory dances, friend streaks, gifts and achievements.
- Watch your friends play and cheer them on, see what your friends are up to, and like their profiles.
